Moringa

What is Moringa

Moringa (moringa oleifera) is a tropical tree that is one of the most nutritious plants in the world. All parts of the moringa tree are edible, not only the leaves and seeds. The roots, bark and flowers of the tree also find a wide range of applications as nutrients. The leaves alone contain all the important nutrients that the human body needs. The tree blooms up to eight months a year, which makes it very attractive for agricultural use.

Moringa oleifera comes from the Bennus family. There are names for it such as drumstick tree or horseradish tree. Moringa contains a high proportion of protein and vitamins A, B, C and calcium. Moringa can therefore be considered the best natural multivitamin preparation. In addition, Moringa also contains vitamins D, E, and K.

Moringa leaves

The leaves can be eaten fresh (as so-called leaf cut), dried (coarsely ground or as powder) or cooked. The nutrients are not lost in the process. The leaves are used in the kitchen: as salad, on sauce or soup, as tea, in bread - there are no limits to your imagination. You can even find special chocolate creations here.

Moringa seeds

A valuable oil, rich in unsaturated fatty acids, is extracted from Moringa seeds. The oil can be used in both cold and hot dishes, but also in salads and for frying. It is also excellently suited as a body care oil.

Moringa flowers

Honey is extracted from the flowers. They can also be made into tea or even eaten directly from the tree; the raw flowers taste sweet and are also suitable as a side dish for dishes or in salads.
